Thank you for all your input , thought about the sale and as usual my heart takes over , so the car will stay , i expect for a long time , some of the comments are fair , some are incorrect , the car , never seen a B3S on any forecourt or private sale under 10k , lots of B3 but not the s, so time to put this discussion to bed , will enter a few more shows and hope the weather gets better so i can appreciate it
I expect you all know what is like you see it sat in the garage all covered up for months on end and think why do i keep it, then on the odd occasion its goes out the thrill comes back.
Thanks to the guys who helped me upload the pictures and the comments , while i am jabbering on , i want a E30 325 , RUNNER OR NONE RUNNER, another project

Here on the Register, which states that this is an 03/2004 car which is a bit confusing as an early 2004 car (pre-March) would be a 53 plate.

Please could you clarify the details?

In the current economic climate it's unlikely that people will beat a path to your door so, with respect, you'll probably need to put in a bit more effort if you wish to achieve a decent price for your car. The register has 4 pictures of your car none of which are current or show off the car particularly well and you mention nothing regarding service history or previous owners

If you were to pay to advertise on PistonHeads or AutoTrader you would expect to provide a lot more detail in order to achieve a sale and this is just as true on a forum. Have a look at this as an example of a good forum ad for a car - and that post was nothing compared to the amount of detail that went into the PistonHeads ad for that car.

I hope you don't take this post the wrong way as it's only intended to help.

Hi , the pictures are dated but the condition the same , i don't seem to be able to load pictures of quality , so should anyone be interested i can e-mail them , the car came second in the south west contours 2 years ago , not winning to my not producing the service books , the car has 3 previous owners , full BMW HISTORY every piece of paperwork since new , all mots etc , only covered 100 miles in the last 2 years, you wont find the car on piston heads or autotrader , tis car will only be sold to a true enthusiast , Michelin tyres all round, unmarked alloys , unmarked body work , with a hard top ,black embossed leather , alpina mats , full electric pack , seats heated etc , etc tracker , traffic master , all the stats for this car are on the forum along with the details of how rare this car is . :D , thanks for the comments

You can post pictures of any resolution (within reason) here if they're hosted elsewhere

This is my standard explanation of how to post pictures using PhotoBucket as an example (because it's free)

- Set up a PhotoBucket account
- Upload photos to your new PhotoBucket account
- When you look at the photo on PhotoBucket, you'll see an IMG code
- Copy this IMG code and paste it into your post here

e.g. To get the picture below to display, I've pasted in the IMG code

IMG]http://i671.photobucket.com/albums/vv72 ... Splash.gif[/IMG]

but in that line, I've deleted the initial '[' before IMG so you can see the code - the full line, with the '[' reinstated, gives this

Image

Hope that helps

Very nice example - hope you didn't mind me tidying up your various posts and condensing them into one

Lovely car, but here is your problem as mentioned by B10Brian in his posts.

No-one will pay your asking price, and the competition is tough, too. £10k will buy a really nice E46 ALPINA cab with low miles: demand is slack, even at this time of year. Plus, you're near E93 B3BT dealer prices, too, and I know which I'd prefer....

GLWTS, but it could be a long wait for any real interest.

10k will buy you one with 70,000 to 1000,000 miles , seen 2 at £12k , thanks for your post but I am not bothered if it sells or not , not being rude this car will start to increase in value very soon , only 37 built in 2004 and a total of I believe only 50 built in total , thanks for your input

All the best with the sale. It certainly looks like a fantastic example and must surely be one of the best around 8)

I don't want to be rude either but what do you base this statement on? I see many adverts claiming cars are about to appreciate but it's simply not the case. History shows that in three years your car will be worth around half of its current market value. The only Alpina 3-series in the last twenty-five years which hasn't continued to depreciate much is the B8 :eh

Hi , I took car to a couple of dealers and they seem to think that the price for the b3s soft top has now reached its lowest level and they told me it should rise over the next 10 , they are large garage dealers specialists in sports cars , I take your point and at least I have had some banter with some true Alpina enthusiasts
