Yes, Terry well aware of this. Had hundreds (probabaly) of E36's so very aware of this failure mode. I have a supplier of OEM pumps that i used that i got very reasonably, so i had one put in during the head gasket job.

After reading about you head gasket problem we had everything replaced on ours. Just as a precautionary measure. Our car is not far behind yours with regards to mileage. I just hope it is not a common fault with these engines that have reached that sort of miles. Tick Tick Tick

And here you have the thread that I started last year after we purchased No.66. Only a cosmetic thread I am afraid, as all the mechanicals are carried out by our specialist.

Oops, how did I miss you out MCB, yet another excellent thread and probably (dare I say it) the nicest B3 3.2 here.

Thanks Kev. Yes It is the highest specced car out of the three. According to the history file it was commissioned by Frank Sytner himself. Then used as there demo car to run between Nottingham and Warwick. We bought it from the guy who bought the car as an ex-demo 17 years previously. It has an amazing and very interesting history file.

I based that comment Simon after seeing your car and that of Shaziman. Fully extended leather being the main difference. Everything you see in red is leather. Including the backs of the front seats. Rear parking sensors being a more minor one. Although your car is the only one out of the three that has roof bars 8)

Leather scores 10 points in Scrabble but roofbar is 12 points so Simon wins

Arit. I have been thinking back to our conversation regarding the colour match on the center section of your rear seat. I was just wondering if these guys may be able to help. They are based in Chelmsford so it may be worth checking them out.

Yes I had the same thoughts when I first came across the place. But it would appear that magical things happen behind closed doors :D
