So the ladies can do a bit of shopping before X'mas in the Bicester Village outlet (keep our fingers cross they don't spend all your hard earn cash in this trip :P :P ) and all our guys stick togather and have a beer in the nearby pub. But one thing concern me is the parking as this is very busy on Sunday.

I thought we were talking about a Southerly meeting :?:,to me that means
south of the Thames
Bicester is along way from being South :?

I understand your thinking but:

1 Wouldn't go near Bicester Village in the run up to Christmas
2 Wouldn't really fancy that pub
3 Was thinking of somewhere further South - more Newbury/Basingstoke/Andover area
4 One of the advantages of having 4 children is I can't fit the whole family in the Alpina and so I can go places on my own :D

I was thinking of a castle or similar point of interest i must admit i'd rather poke my eyes out with a stick than drive all the way down south for a shopping trip

Tony,

My thoughts exactly, no way I would drive that far NORTH for a shopping trip. :(
Anyway Bicester Village is very much over rated

Nice location but minimal eating facilities.

Like your thinking though..

Any other suggestions?

Newlands corner? just outside of Guildford surrey, it's a country park with a cafe and a very large carpark?

i'm right in the middle of the suggested area and am struggling to think of a place that meets up to everything said!

Newlands Corner is 2 mins down the road for me........ It has parking and the New Barn coffe shop serves decent food.
