Norfolk/Suffolk July/Aug 2006

Post by D4 » Wed May 31, 2006 12:38 am

Just gonna throw this out into the open for you all to discuss and see what you think.

I think all those attended last months pub meet at the Golden Cross in Bearley would all agree it was nice to stretch the car's legs and get out into the countryside...

well lets see if we can't rustle up another meet at short notice and start to broaden our horizons outside of the midlands..

me and ALPINA46 were catting earlier and were thinking somewhere like Norfolk or Suffolk but we're open to other suggestions if you've got any favourites.

Also as schools will be off and holidays will be in full throw we don't want to go somewhere too congested and traffic logged...
additionally as many of you may be away with your families on holidays - which dates around late July - early August would suit?

let's have your thoughts.. venues and dates... or at least regions and dates.

Obvioulsy there will be Gaydon in August for those not able to attend and if the summer holds up i'm sure we could probably fit in another meet in mid September

I'm up for that although Essex would be better ;)

I'll have a chat with Kevin B10 and see if we can find some venues around the Colchester way if that works for everyone?

If not, Suffolk is good, Norfolk is a little more tricky but I guess the car will go where I point it :D

James

KevinB10 and I checked out the Crown Inn at Ardleigh (near Colchester) yesterday.

We think it's ideal, it has a large tarmaced car park, serves good food and is right next to the A12 so should be relatively easy to find. Kevin took some pics which I am sure he will put up. We were thinking second weekend in September.

Here is a link to the location;

Thoughts?

Yes I was but I am open to making it a joint meet depending on numbers attending and space available at the venue.
