Can I just say that after discovering this new meet, which may I point out has been organised by new car club members so no politics are involved,
I did ask the question about changing the day. However I do feel that because there is a fair distance between the two meets it gives people the choice of which meet they wish to attend. If there had only been a couple of miles between the two, then this would have been an issue.
At the end of the day we are all BMW enthusiasts so it doesn't matter which local meet you attend as long as we all get together for the bigger organised events.
I have been to both pub meets and organised events by Hampshire BMW Drivers Club and will carry on doing so... :)

I was actually hoping to get along to the Renault Espace Owners Club meet on the same day but the timings mean that all the other drivers are busy putting their children to bed.

I guess I'll head south from Oxford (probably the Midlands club) to Berkshire (enemy territory but I'm brave) to display my ALPINA in amongst all those common BMWs.

Ho Hum

Retraction; I have it on good authority that the guys who run the meet asked when to hold it and they were told first Tuesday of the month. No prizes for guessing who told them that. How pathetic and petty some people can be.
End of the matter as far as I'm concerned.

eh?

I really don't think anyone cares about any other meet as it's not without what we call 'our area'. Move THAT meet up to Newbury and put it on the same day as this one and I'll be more than happy to attend ;)

Nice to meet you chaps last night, some lovely cars there... especially the White 335i 8) Proper car in my books...

Thanks for the ride Charles and the confirmation my TC seems OK... I'll book N. Oxford garage in in 2 weeks time after I've had my car back from the BMW bodyshop.

Cheers,

Rich

Popped in to the meeting last night on my way back to Kent after treating the B10 to 4 new tyres ( gulp) at Micheldever.
Nice to put faces to names, and the Alpina's ( 5) nearly outnumbered the BMW,s.
Thanks to Ben for organising the meet.
Glad I had new tyres, as the amount of standing water on the Motorways on the drive home was awful, first long run the B10 has had for while :D :D
