Midlands Meet 2 weeks time NEW VENUE

Post by D4 » Fri May 23, 2008 3:17 pm

Ok guys - I think those that have attended the Anchor Inn at Hathern for the Monthly meet all feel it's time to move on for various reasons.

So question is where to:

The summer is the best time to come to one of these events so we need to ensure the pub is as good as possible.

So choices as I see it are:

(1)
The Priory
Nanpantan Road Nanpantan
Loughborough Leicestershire
LE11 3YD

Good food, clean, plenty of parking, not too difficult to find.
Used by the MG Club each month

(2)
The Gate Hangs Well
Lewin Bridge
Fosse Way
Syston
Leicestershire
LE7 8NH

Under new management (by a forum member)
Only concern I have is, is the car park big enough.
Even though it has space for 75 cars - it has been full on previous wednesdays.

Please can we see a show of hands as to which one of these 2 options is preferrable - or indeed another Leicester/Loughborough location that you might feel is suitable.

I'm voting for:

The Priory (even tho the gate hangs well is closer to my house)

I don't mind either so long as they are easy to find off the M1 for when I am hammering north or south and am able to drop in.

I'll leave it to the locals to decide.

Yeah thats one of the reasons I also voted for the Priory - it's not far from J23.

The gate that hangs well is off J21a and quite a distance.
