Aplina XB7 & XD7 at The Nurburgring

Post by big blue » Mon Aug 12, 2019 1:21 pm

"2 x Alpina X7 Spied Stretching Its Legs At The Nurburgring"

They had two versions on the track OAL BQ402 with a slat based exhaust system and OAL BQ 401 with a quad pipe configuration.

A V8 for America, a diesel for Europe so maybe that is why we have two on show on the link as a XB7/XD7 option

Just a thought on these, I wonder what happens to the prototypes. Does anyone know where they end up?

Taken back to the workshop and made into a production car or just dismantled for parts.

Interesting, I had heard that the US spec X7 prototype was a black car. Both of these appear to be blue under the wraps.

Possible front and back render of what is "under the wraps" - large springs to mind

I wonder how successful the Alpina version of the X7 will be, if it follows the X4 it will be remain in the showroom.
After 2 years on sale there are only 18 shown in the Alpina archive.

13 unused ones are for sale on Mobile.de, but then nearly £100K for a smallish SUV is a bit steep :(

That front grill is on steroids and the comparison to the one on your E30 an eye opener

I don't like any of those... Look like Mercedes SUV from the rear 3/4 panel and like the latest Ranger-Rover from the back
tsk tsk tsk
And the name is Marie-Noëlle or nick name MNL, NOT Marie or Noëlle ALONE; unless if you are looking for someone else and not me!!!
