It does look nice, and has a good spec/colour combo.

But the ALPINA lettering looks a bit eBay-special and there are a couple of concerning looking rust spots on that suspension turret.

Very nice - Not many in Techno violet around. The only colour that tops this is Mora metallic.
Specification is the same as my car, although mine has been updated to the widescreen unit.

Seems a fair price for the car and mileage.

Yeah looks like it’s lost the original alpina badge and then bit of a hash on aligning the b3 3.3
Rust on turret is common where the alpina vin is

Original spec was debadged so I assume that all the badges are fake. The rusty bit I was thinking was the hole at top left of the turret. The hole is factory I think but looking a bit crusty.

Yes & No.
Colour and spec definitely tick the right boxes, but timing and location are against me

I am sure that this was offered on here for sale in Scotland a while ago. I nearly bought this one prior to buying my current car.
The colour and interior are really positives. A few mods - better radio and this is a great usable car.

You are right Rav. I was in Dundee 2 weeks ago where the car was for sale. I think the seller wanted near on 8K for it which is possibly why its gone for auction.

It was advertised via this very forum for around £3k a year ago....

Ended up at £5,618 plus fees of about £340.

If it's a personal purchase I'd say that's ok, but if it's a trader I think they'll be holding on to that for a while.
