B10 3.3 Touring Manual

#014 in Sienna Red - spotted awaiting some TLC at CPC this morning (specifically a replacement pump for the air suspension).
For information - the pump from a B7 fits perfectly and as the normal failure of these units is a couple of O-rings, then a repair is far more achievable than the £1000 that BMW want for a new pump

I nearly bought this a few years back, its leggy but good spec.
A landlord of a local pub owned it for years and he bought it off his friend who ordered it new.
My wife's cousin bought it instead of me and flipped it quick to some trader dohnut who tried getting drug money for it which didnt happen and i lost track of it.
Until now!

Charles do you mean the pump is the same for a E39 and B7? meaning this is a universal part.Charles wrote:For information - the pump from a B7 fits perfectly and as the normal failure of these units is a couple of O-rings,

So it seems as I watched the air pump removed from a B7, installed in the B10 and the rear end rose from the dead like Lazarusnealpina wrote:Charles do you mean the pump is the same for a E39 and B7? meaning this is a universal part.Charles wrote:For information - the pump from a B7 fits perfectly and as the normal failure of these units is a couple of O-rings,

Hello, fame at last, this is my car!
Child seats, yes two of them, it's a family wagon after all and continues to be used as one! Mileage is up to 193,000 now, but I've loved pretty much every one of my 15,000 miles I have done since owning.
Bought 3 and half years ago from aforementioned donut trader, for half the money he originally advertised it for, had full body respray done and lots of work by CPC to bring it back to close to former glory.
It was in with CPC for the air springs, not pump, it was still running on the original springs until last week!
