Personally my calendar is light until July. I'm satisfied with going to FoS, Silverstone, Revival and Gaydon. BMs on the Lawn is a lovely event which I'll always attend if I can. That's plenty really but I've just had a reply about Ace Cafe which was nice news.

I was thinking of a cosy meet but I have to say it's fairly obvious Alpina only meets will be low numbers and so you're right tagging on to other BMW events is probably a good idea.

Again from a personal point of view, a lot of events are 2+ hrs away (Amersham for example) so I have to choose carefully as I can only have so much time away from my young family over the summer.

I would be interested as I'm local and haven't done one before.

I have some commitments in May and June but hope to fit it in if it goes ahead.

The BMW's on the Lawn is booked for 2nd September 18, so if you have an ALPINA and want to attend you need do nothing except turn up. If we know how many might come we can park separately.

Bit of a bump for this event in WSM: we'll be there to have a natter with old friends, a Sunday stroll on the prom and an ice cream. Hope to see a few of you there :D

For those without the background, there is a show and shine competition, and it costs £2 to enter. Info from WSM touristy thingy here:-

'A classic BMW display on the Beach Lawns.

You are welcome to arrive from around 09:00, and the show will close at 16.00.

The event has steadily grown from 10 cars in the first year to 43 last year The event is equally popular with partners/wives/husbands and children. A great day out for all the family at the seaside it will take place on the hard standing just opposite the Tropicana. All models of BMW or MINI are welcome. It is a Show and Shine event sponsored by Bristol based BMW Specialists Clayton Cars, with trophies for 1st 2nd and third, plus car of the day.

There is a £2.00 entry fee, for further information contact Robert Scanlan 01934 622376 or email robert.scanlan@foremostgolf.com'

We may just park randomly to avoid too much attention at one end of the displayed cars
