E90 D3 #109 - Black with FBMWSH - £5,995 ono

Post by Joker » Fri Jun 15, 2018 10:13 am

Hi all, me again........

Now on eBay too - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303065597559

This is now getting less than 20 miles a week put on it, through a change of job (as well as the fact that the time has come where I need a larger car). It seems like such a shame to have it sat outside all the time not being used as it should. This has been our daily car in the time we've owned it, but it's now time for us to get a bigger 'family' car - ideally a similar age X5?

This is a well cared for example and totally unmolested.

I'd love to let it go to an enthusiast, so if there are any takers on here please message me for any additional details you might like. I've had the car since January 2017 and it has been serviced & maintained by Sytner for all its life. Whilst I'm sure everyone reading this is aware, this has been the best car I've ever owned in terms of performance, economy and driving experience.

Specifics;

- Number #109
- Approx 113,000 miles.
- Full Sytner Service History.
- The car has also benefitted from the recent BMW recall to replace the blower-regulator wiring harness. This work has been completed in full.
- The interior is clean, with the seats showing no signs of wear and all features, such as electric bolsters, are in full working order.
- It has a full set of Alpina mats and all original tools/accessories are present.
- 6 speed gearbox.
- The front suspension has recently been renewed.
- All receipts from the life of the car are included, showing each owner has been very keen on making sure the car was looked after.

It is in good condition for its age and really turns heads when it's clean. Wheels have some small marks on, but are far from needing a refurbishment (just wanted to be honest). The next service will be due soon and I am happy to have this done prior to the sale if we can agree the full asking price.

Thanks, Tom

Hi, great looking car and good luck with the sale.

But just wanted to ask, how did you manage to get your car booked in for the recall? As iv got the same car, number #108 and BMW confirmed it wasn't required.

Thanks

I also have a 2007 D3 (No 525) at the moment and got the recall work done at my local BMW main dealer,Halliwell Jones Warrington,a couple of weeks ago. They replaced the positive battery cable but said the other recall(whatever that was) wasn't required on my car.
There was someinitial confusion re vin numbers and It was the original BMW vin they eventually recognised on their system and booked me in for the work.

Just dropped the price on this and updated the advert as it's coming to crunch time. About to change jobs and going to need something different for me and the wife.

Cheers

Not really
Looking at the market for used D3 from private and dealers they are just not shifting easily at over 100k miles
The market is flat as a pancake with regard them actually selling,
This car would need to drop to £5k for it to sell, possibly not what the owner wants to hear but it is the buyers that dictate the market
Nov, dec and jan are traditionally crap times to try and sell a car but great if you're in a position to buy one

Not sure the sub-100k cars are really shifting either. There are quite a few examples of sub-100k cars that are hugely over-priced and been around sometime with different sellers.

The only real sales that seem to have happened recently are where private sellers have given up and part-ex'd their D3

If this was the case 6/12 months ago, I think I'd have gone down this route too tbh.

As things stand, I've got my eyes on an X5 for a bit - renovating the house, so want to be chucking plenty in it and then taking it away on weekends for camping/trekking.
