Plenty more fish in the sea.
Been out in #108 a fair bit over the past week unusually and just reminds me how good a car it really is.
There really isn't any need to replace as it still is one of the best cars I have ever owned

Another Aberdeenshire car.....................
This car will be joining the B6 on the drive soon 8)
I don't have dogs btw, but since getting rid of the X3, I needed something a little more 'daily driver', especially in the winter. The B6 will be going into semi retirement and kept for nice days only

High pressure fuel pump failure
You were correct with this, hap. The space grey E91 B3SBT has received no under-hood work besides routine servicing 8)

I know the owner well and helped him into it 4 years ago. I'm the sounding board for any queries, so I know all about its history :P That puts me at head of the one man queue if it's ever sold.

Yes. As advised, I was given 1st and only refusal, and as we'd planned around this possibility, it would have been extremely rude not to! I'm a huge fan of the E90/1, so this fitted nicely and as we're in a fleet evolution which must involve getting a good electric or hybrid for Liz in the next few years, we jumped on the chance to add this to the 'interesting: banker' garage alongside the Cayman GTS whilst we save up for the upgrade for Liz.

Most of my mileage is short these days, so the 2 relatively thirsty petrols work for us, with the miles chucked on the Focus for any daily grinding until the coffers are sufficient in a couple of years. As a result, any minor issues (for that's all they are) on the B3s are sorted and its become part of our 'cherished cars' garage, which are unlikely to be sold any time soon 8)

In many ways, the B3S was the only car I could choose with the knowledge it could replace much of the feel good factor of my Macan: the decision to sell this was somewhat ameliorated by the knowledge I could get the B3S as a long-term replacement. The Macan has been easily and by far the best all round car I've ever had the privilege to drive, even on track, and selling it was a tough decision. Luckily, the remaining fleet is rather good.

Thanks boys. I'll get a few pix up later.

No idea on the silver ones location; sorry.

Mine's getting it's major fault fixed on Thursday: losing the open diff and going quaife. It was my major irritation with #285 back in the day and ruined the drive for me. This time, I'm correcting it and it'll encourage me to keep this car!
As all E9x B3Sbiturbo owners will already be aware, the rear can be a bit skitterish on less than perfect surfaces under hard acceleration, and jumping from one quick (slipped) car to an equally quick unslipped car is going to catch one of us out....I've had too many incidents already with slippy white lines when overtaking someone
