Great photos asim many thanks
Love that b5 touring colour nice to see a good mix of genres
Si your c2 is proper sleeper car that exhaust seems to protrud out quite a bit it is just the angle of the pic - a 320i badge perhaps
The red b5 is stunning also
Terry when are you going to badge her up ?

There you go, hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed the event. I think I've got every Alpina that turned up that day. Some very special metal in attendance - from the lovely E30s to the brand new B5 BTs and everything in between. And the top people that own them, all passionate about Alpina.

Thought this was noteworthy:

Roof spoiler on the new B5 BT - to direct air over the sunroof, given the 200+mph capability of the car and the airflow issues caused by the sunroof!!

And this from my D5 BT en route:

Whatever negative things that get said about the devil's fuel, a car that can do 52mpg and has 350bhp/700nm is still deeply impressive in my book.

Hap, no I didn't take it. I've got it booked in soon for a mechanical inspection and mot, then I'll use it more when I know all is okay. At the moment I just potter about locally or just enjoy looking at it :D

Metrics, sorry, I should have made more effort to introduce myself to other forum members.
I think my Golf is a great package, practical but with super performance without shouting about it. And before anybody says it, yes I know, that sums up Alpinas too. I like my Golf and I love my B3s.

No worries. Great combo of cars you have there, good taste. How thirsty do you find the R in daily use?

Last time I looked it was 29mpg, mostly a short commute and local driving. Mid to high 30's is possible I think on longer(and sensible) runs.

For the record, theALPINAregister.com (this forum) is officially endorsed by ALPINA Gmbh and ALPINA UK, which I guess makes it the official ALPINA club in the UK
