B3 3.2 Touring #062
So, #62 has a new home. Looking a bit grubby after a 200+ mile trip north.
In truth, she actually belongs to my Dad, but since he's not really one for internet forums, I thought I'd update you with her whereabouts.

Thanks Ali
Just been round for a better look and it really is in very good condition. Will take a good amount of detailing but the amount of money spent by the last long term owner should mean that this is a proverbial diamond in the rough.
First job is looking like it will be to figure out the 3G Alarm system which doesn't seem to be behaving itself just now. It was retro fitted by BMW in 2002 so there should be some info available like wiring diagrams, instructions, etc. If any one has anything please let me know.

Not sure whether it will surprise you or not, but that guy wasn’t the actual owner. He seems to have been an associate of the owner who was convinced he could punt it on for a sizeable premium, for a share of the profit.
The actual owner seems to have been a reasonable fellow, open to making a “quick†profit but also realistic about its value.
Hopefully, it will prove to be a good purchase. The old man appears to be realistic about the task ahead and is hoping to create a usable classic capable of cross-Europe jaunts.

I am pleased to see the car has finally found a new home, with someone who will care for it.
I did try and buy the car myself, but the guy I was dealing with gave me the impression that he did not care if it sold or not! He certainly new nothing about the Alpina brand, or Alpino as he kept calling it.
Anyway enjoy your new purchase. It is a lovely looking car.
