I'm moving on

Post by sward » Sat May 12, 2018 2:54 pm

After 14 years of Alpina ownership, having a dog finally means I am finding the D3 biturbo coupe a bit impractical :(
I tried to find a nice B or D3 touring to replace it with, but couldn't find one I liked, so soon I'll be getting a 340i touring and the D3BT will be moving on to my brother's loving care!
It's been great to be an Alpinist (I remember a thread a few years ago about what the right name is for us lot) and I love the brand and the cars. The factory tour we did, where we met lots of you and had an excellent tour guided by Kris, was a real highlight. One day, I suspect, I'll be back in one of Buchloe's finest. But I'll still be driving a Bavarian machine, so I haven't completely gone mad.
Regards to all
Simon

I have fond memories of the factory tour, and enjoying a meal together.
Sorry to see you go, and hope you return to this great community soon.

I think you're allowed to participate here even if you don't currently own an Alpina.

(For what it's worth, my wife has our dog transport as her vehicle.)
D4 BT Coupé No. 166
D3 BT Coupé No. 127 (Sold at 147,000 miles)
