Number 131 has reappeared after a few years. On ebay with a starting price of £6800 and looking somewhat non standard on the exterior.

As a Newbie, Hi to all !! . . .

I see you added #55 back in November last year, I'm glad to report I was the buyer and the happy new owner. She currently has 122k miles.

I've done a few bits since getting her, new wheel bearings front n rear plus discs and pads, VANOS rebuild with cam sensor and rocker gaskets, plus a few other tidying up bits n bobs . . .

Next step, front springs and dampers. I'd be happy to hear any advice on possible replacements.

Here's a picture of her after a clay bar and polish . . .

Ian.

Welcome Ian,

It's good to see that #55 has found such an enthusiastic owner of a rare 3.2 touring model. She looks great in the photo, I believe the colour is Biarritz blue?

Thanks for the welcome Jim,

Yes, she's Biarritz Blue. before this I had a couple of E30 tourings before moving on to an E39 528 touring in Malachite Green. She was a £600 bargain as a stop gap and over the 4 years I had her she was great. She started to show signs of her age so when I saw this come up for sale I decided to let her go in exchange for #55.

As I plan to keep her for a few years any time and effort put into her should be really rewarding over the long term !!

Hi guys
Been a long time since I’ve been on here but I was delighted to see my old 3.2 no 64 is still going strong, I was the second owner of it back in the early 2000’s and put about 50k on it.
It was a brilliant car and never gave me any problems except destroying the brakes on the Nurburgring!, I think I still have the little bit of trim from above the tailpipes somewhere in the office,
I have bought a v8 no 147/1
Alpina b2.8

The high speed balance of that car is the best I’ve felt on a e39 it just needed another 100 bhp especially out of Adenau!, I think the chassis would handle it fine

Would be fun to have Jim, however I never take her on track these days.

Hi Mark,

I found this 3.2 model on a site that logs 3.2 models that have been spotted. This one was seen at Hay on Wye this year (June 2018). no production number but a registration number of B10 MHT. I have no records for this reg number, can you help with this one?

Link to it.... https://www.autogespot.co.uk/alpina-b10-32/2018/06/10

It was in need of a good clean and some centre caps for the wheels.

One of the photos from the site....

Saloon number 65 is being prepared for sale by Cheshire Sport Classics and priced at £8995 having covered 112k miles. Like mine it is in Alpina Blue with a grey leather interior and has a sunroof.I have been in touch with Simon at the garage by email to get the production number and to give him a bit of info on the 3.2 models. He comes over as a very pleasant person to deal with.

The link below currently describes the car as being prepared and now shows the production number. I will update it again when photos are available.

Saloon number 170 is on Ebay classifieds for £9995. It sounds as though it has a good spec and a few mods / upgrades have been carried out. Showing 105k miles with a full comprehensive history. Used to be owned by forum member ollieebmw according to my records. No pictures on Ebay yet.
