Tyre valve?
We modified a socket to tighten one of ours after a refurb, however we still needed a helpful forum member to fix the issue.
I wouldn't want to touch them again, the wheels are as soft as butter!!

Bit of a thread resurrection, but I had a slow turned fast loss of air in my rear nearside wheel, and faulty valve was diagnosed. Thanks to this I was able to find a very thin walled socket and when the valve was out, my garage determined where the O Ring should seat, wheel corrosion was preventing a good seal, so a quick reaming out with of all things a diesel injector drill and all fitted and sealed perfectly.
Well, tyre valve B91.47.3.610.061 has sorted the problem on my B3, it took all of 5 minutes with a very thin walled 13mm 1/4 drive socket from a cheap Taiwanese socket set my neighbour has had for years. I'll find out the price for the part from my local garage who kindly ordered it in for me from BMW (in stock and arrived next day) next week when the owner is in.
For minimal hassle, replacing the valve beats any other option.
