I'm not so sure, there have been far worse and higher mileage examples up for over 10k for awhile now. Of course there is a big difference between an asking price and a selling price but I haven't seen such a low mileage nice colour combo/spec b3s for awhile. I would say over 10k but under 15k is fair for such a nice example (if mechanically sound).

thats a bit special... the colour is not for me but go find another with that pedigree and mileage... i bet it sells for not far off the asking although i would cry 1 year into ownership to learn that my wings were rotten

Hello, I am the new owner of this B3s and so far iam loving the driving experience. Does anyone know any past history about the car? Oh, and the front wings look fine to me but is this something I should be aware of?

Congratulations, a lovely car you have there. Hope you enjoy it.

Wings - I'm sure just a reference to a rust weak spot on the E46 rather than something specific about your car.

Welcome to the forum BTW :D

Nice one 8) You have bought a stunning car in my opinion.
I think the wings must be a bit of a lottery as you see some with rough ones and some not. I have a 2000 model and it has no rust on the original paint on my front wings.

Hi, thanks for the positive comments. I have the leather Alpina owners book and three keys along with two Wheel keys.

This link takes you to Kgfclassiccars Flickr page for my car and there are loads of detailed photos.

The radio cassette has an old style iPod connector cable hidden in the lower storage tray, I've plugged in my old iPod mini but can't seem to get the sound through. There are no cds yet in the changer in the boot and no tape in the cassette player. Any tips on what I might be doing wrong? It has the Harmon Kardon system in if that helps.

Hello, yes this the first Alpina (bucket list ticked). I have previously rebuilt a 1995 M3 saloon 3.0 in Hellrot red which was another school kid car I wanted to own when funds allowed. That car I loved but this B3s delivers its power more smoothly and effortlessly. I also owned a beautiful E21 323i Baur convertible that I had to sell in order to fund the Alpina. Image

My first BMW was a e21 323i when I was 19yo. I spent many a wet day facing the wrong way on roundabouts  a bit tail happy in the wet with an inexperienced/over enthusiastic driver in charge!
