D3 biturbo oil

Post by Vxrich » Tue Sep 05, 2017 7:39 pm

It's that time to change the oil again in my 2011 D3 Biturbo and there's still confusion with which oil to use. Ive called 3 different BMW garages today.... 2 say 5w30 and my local one says 0w30 (the technician says he's checked the Alpina documentation) I know the last oil change I put Castrol Edge 5w30 in but still confused to what is the best to put in? Cheers

5w30 or 0w30 both ok. From new it would have had 0w30

From new was 0W30, but as it gets older it's better to use slightly thicker so I would stay with 5W30 you used last time

If it was B3 Bi-turbo would say to use 10W60
