Mixing engine oils?

Post by sean7997 » Thu Jan 26, 2017 12:30 pm

Just a quick question..

I've got these 2 engine oils http://imgur.com/a/1etKg
The one on the left is ~1 year old, and the one on the right i got last week. Will i be okay to mix these 2? Looking a bit online and I think they have just rebranded their Edge 10w60 with "supercar" and updated the packaging.

Does anyone know?

Thanks!
Sean

Personally I would never mix engine oils, but if they are exactly the like for like grade it could be ok. However read the label as each claims there is something special about theirs. I only use the Alpina recommended oil.

I use Castrol Edge which Alpina do recommend (although not that particular grade in my car) so I'd say you can mix those 2.

Did they have really have to stick Supercar on the side
