Woodall services motorway breakfast meet M1 10am 6th Nov

Post by hap » Fri Oct 28, 2016 9:44 pm

Many years ago when I had my c2 back in the days of the e30 zone we had a meet at ferry bridge services and around 30 cars turned up in February cup of tea and bacon roll chat and looking at cars

With no sytners meet until 2017 what about a meet say at Woodall services one Sunday pretty central for all and could fill the void possibly

What's your thoughts?

Thanks for the replies so far

I think sooner rather than later with people getting booked with Christmas
Would next sunday 6th work or the following week 13th say at 10am?

There is one issue re 2hour parking limit I saw on the website but I think it doesn't apply to cars as long as purchasing something?? Anyone know

Cheers

See his place is a few junctions down from Woodall. No problem parking and "other halves" may be more inclined to permit the meet!!!

The shops open at 10 so a breakfast meet sort of time would beat the shoppers.

Just a suggestion, Yorkshire Sculpture park. Very other half friendly, one mile off the m1 J 38

http://www.ysp.co.uk/page/visit-ysp/tc

Open 10am-1700 every day except Christmas, beautiful setting, a few miles further north. Good parking, facilities and culture for those not so mechanically minded….

Ducks, perhaps forget it as Ive just seen the parking charges …unless everyone thinks is a good idea

That will be too far for me, an extra 30 miles from Woodall services which is already close to 2hrs away from me.
The dilemma of north and south always crops up when trying to arrange a meet I guess. Being fairly central I can usually stretch either way but too far in one direction will lose attendees from the other end of the country.

Fair enough…. and Ive just updated my post as YSP charge for parking! Woodhall and the other place is 1+ 1/2 away from me, And I get to see my son on the way home!
