Alpina D3 MT Tourer (57 Plate)

Post by AlpinaDaveC » Fri Jul 08, 2016 3:31 pm

Offering my D3 MT as my new car arrives at end of July/ early August and whilst BMW have offered £6,500 for PX, I'd rather let it go to enthusiast so if there are any takers on here please PM me. I've had the car since bought from Sytner in 2010 and has been serviced & maintained by them ever since. Whilst I'm sure everyone reading this is aware, this has been the best car I've ever owned in terms of performance, economy and practicality.

Approx 129,000 miles
Full Sytner Service History
Had new clutch & fly wheel
DPF has been carried out
Parrott fitted
Witter detachable tow hitch fitted

Wheels would require a refurb and although perfectly legal, new tyres would ideally be replaced. This has been my family workhorse but has been cared for and would describe the condition as good for the age and mileage for this car. Since this is being px'd I've not 'prepped' the car for sale but this is a great opportunity for someone looking for an honest D3 tourer

Hi,

While this is very tempting I am not currently in the market so good luck with the sale.

Would you be able to provide the plaque number please?
Regards,

James

Glad it’s gone to a good home and good to hear she’s still in good condition. I still miss the car....as I said best one I’ve ever owned! Love an new D3 but the budget couldn’t stretch and ended up with 335dx instead. Yes I tinted the windows and added the town bar during my ownership

Yes its still in good shape. I have removed the tow bar because it was causing water to ingress into the boot where it was fastened to the chassis leg. Do you happen to have anymore pictures of paperwork etc for it? :)
Love the tinted windows though, it looks like a professional job. Somebody has had the windows refurbished but they have been done in a graphite colour, so I plan to put these back to the OEM silver

Hiya, sorry couldn't log onto register for some reason. All the paperwork I had went with the car when I px'd at Sytner. Yes I had all the previous invoices for all the work I had done but I guess they don't keep it when went to auction and didn't have any pictures? Did you mean the alloys are graphite? No wasn't me and they were totally orginal deep dish lovely alloys but did require a full refurb. Only thing was one centre cap had a different key as one got lost when having a service and had a delivery/ pick up service. Couldn't prove conclusively it was them so I had to fork out for new centre cap. I nearly consdiered buying it back when I saw on here how much the starting bid was on here!

That’s annoying that BMW must have removed all of the paperwork when it went to auction. It has all the important info though and BMW said they could give me copies if required by covering the customer details at the top.
Yes I meant the wheels not sure how it corrected to that ha! Ahhh that’s interesting you say that, I wondered why the offside rear had a different key! It’s in at my local dealer this week having a new bootlid fit under warranty due to corrosion. The badges are out of stock though and we are waiting on Alpina to send to BMW UK. Somebody had also removed the towing ball itself so the tow bar was redundant. It’s such an addictive car to drive
