ALPINA Display at Gaydon 2016. Sunday 14th August
ALPINA Display at Gaydon 2016. Sunday 14th August
I can’t believe that its almost a year ago that we were enjoying the sunshine at Silverstone Classic celebrating 50 years of ALPINA, where does the time go???
Last year was such a busy and amazing year of celebration that I thought I deserved a little break from organising events, which is why until now I have not been so active with the ALPINA register. Unfortunately due to Silverstone Classic moving their dates this year I will not be attending due to commitments to Carfest. There will be an ALPINA presence as normal with the BMW Car Club but not on the scale as 2015.
The BMW Car Club GB are once again hosting the National Festival. 2016 will see BMW celebrating one hundred Years. To celebrate such a big year for BMW we want this year to be bigger and better, making it a day not to be missed.
Many of you may be aware of this event and as the ALPINA register we have been attending for the last 15 years.
So once again I will be organising an ALPINA display. I would like to make this year one to remember with hopefully one of the biggest displays we've had at Gaydon. Details below:
Any questions please just ask.
Date: Sunday 14th August 2016
Time: 10.00 - 16.00 (gates open at 8.00am)
Place: British Motor Museum, Banbury Road, Gaydon, Warwickshire, CV35 0BJ
Plenty of activities on offer throughout the day including:-
◦ Driving Arena
◦ BMW Motorcycle Club
◦ BRCA Racing Circuit
◦ Drifting Track
◦ Laser Shooting
◦ Mini Tanks
◦ Arena style event with presenter ‘Steve Deekes’
◦ 100 cars in year formation to form the figure of 100, to be photographed from the air
◦ Detailing Company demonstration Q&A
◦ M tri colour photo shoot
◦ Larger no of trade stands in new location
◦ Wheel changing competition – between regions, registers & forums
◦ BMW History display boards
◦ BMW Aero Engine display
◦ Driving skills test
◦ Historic, Isetta & Motorcycle Clubs in attendance
◦ Real Coffee bars
◦ Additional outdoor catering – German white sausage
◦ Elevated platform for compere/interviews
◦ Tombola and Raffle
◦ And much more
As the ALPINA register I would like to get as many of your cars on display as possible. You do not have to be a BMW Car Club member to display your vehicle on the ALPINA display, but tickets are at a reduced rate if you are a member (see below). If you think you might be interested in attending this event and supporting the ALPINA Register then please contact me for further details.
Tickets can be purchased from the BMW Car Club office
Tel 01970 267 989 Office@bmwcarclubgb.co.uk
Prices are:
Members: £12.00 each
Non Members: £14.50 each
Thank you all for your continued support and I hope to see you at future events.

Simon. When we spoke to you last about Gaydon we were under the impression that you would no longer be organizing the Alpina stand there Your absence was certainly noticed on the stand last year. Although with your heavy work load at Silverstone and CarFest it was understandable.
Thinking that you would not be attending Gaydon this year, we have booked the M3 and Alpina onto our regional club stand
This will also tie in with the 100th anniversary celebrations that we will be attending in Munich during September.
If you are short on cars then please let us know. Maybe we could change things around.
Of course, what ever happens we will come and say hello to you and other members of the Alpina Register.

Bugger - this clashes with my regional TVR concours w/e so can't make it.
Really want to make it to an event like this too.
Will be at silverstone classic but again on the TVR infield parking area - will have a wander over the the Alpina area and say hi.
