Best non-acidic wheel cleaner

Post by MadMax » Sun Jan 31, 2016 10:19 pm

Hi everyone - I'm after the least damaging wheel cleaner.

The 2 I've come across from web searches etc are

- Pro-Valet Bilberry; or
- Sterling Btite-Clean.

Has anyone on here used either or recommend another product that's not harsh on the lacquer /paint.

Cheers.

I have used bilberry for a few years now with no problems along with Iron-x
or dragons breath to remove brake dust contamination.

Bilberry user here and it goes a long way pressure wash wheels first
Iron x and see the clear solution turn purple for contaminant stinks awful but is a great product which u can use on the whole car rinse then bilberry at whatever ratio you like agitate with brush and rinse
I would also clay your wheels once a year and once cleaned seal with a high temp wax. I use autoglym tar removal for stubborn spots that build up in the creaveses of the rim

I've been using Sonax wheel cleaner for years:

http://beta.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car- ... &0&cc5_111

It's more or less a touch less wash, ie spray the wheel with product and then wash off 5 minutes later.

The bottles work out cheap via Euro car parts if you use a discount code.

Snap.

Bilberry for normal cleaning and Dragons Breath for the rough, hard-baked stuff.

Edit: FinishKare 1000 wax them once a year.

Thanks folks - looks like Billbery getting a good thumbs up. I've seen the IronX mentioned also so may get some of that too.
