Hello Everyone,

I am in search for Alpina Roadster S.
While Z4M price level seems to be quite clear in Europe, Alpina Roadster S seems to be completely different. It appears that also the sellers are not sure what they can ask for... so they put on the table they dream prices, which in my opinion are a bit of the stretch...

What is your opinion about fair price level (not in UK, but in continental Europe) for the following spec & characteristics (I already test driven the car):
- 05.2005;
- 70k km mileage;
- 18" Alpina classic wheels;
- black exterior and interior (standard Alpina trim);
- first owner;
- Xenons;
- air-con;
- business cd radio (no sat nav);
- car is offered by BMW dealer with 1 year guarantee (as BMW Premium Selection);
- car no. 250;

Interior:
- driver seat leather is quite strongly worn out on the left side (strange for me for 70k km);
- passanger seat has small scratches close to Isofix;
- strange stains/scratches (difficult to describe) on dials (tacho & rev) - this I really don't like - it looks like snail traces;
- missing plastic caps on both sides of central console - can it be that central console has been removed and caps lost - why?;
- worn out gear knob;

Exterior:
- a number of scratches and dents around the body - but rather normal for 10 years old car;
- a scratch on a bumber below front right lamp;
- a dent obove rear left wheel;
- scratched BMW logo on the left indicator;
- worn out / damaged Alpina logo on all the wheels (probably due to high pressure chemical wash);

Documents:
- service book is not Alpina but BMW, however fully stamped by BMW dealer (shouldn't it be Alpina service book???);

I have test driven recently also a 3.0Si Individual with same mileage, and while the drive was a different world, not comparable with Alpina, the interior was much, much better - light leather with black piano finish..

Let me know what do you think? What is fair price?
I am really looking forward to become part of Alpina Roadster S drivers Wink

Hi pricing in Europe is approx 34000 euro which is crazy for the model uk cars for a very mint one is 17k sterling

Your car details just sound like its not the best looked after

Classic wheels just don't go with the roadster
Seat worn for low miles.....miles tampered with?
Incorrect service book

Not for me what is the price? Got a link

Will attach photos.
Service book is fully stamped by one BMW dealer, but it is BMW cover and not Alpina cover... I thought it should be Alpina book.

Yes, I know about 34k EUR, but I think the story is... there was one car for 34k EUR on mobile.de for a long time, and then yesterday 2 cars appeared, owners had nothing to relate to, so they just looked the one available, and adjusted the price accordingly to their mileage, spec... for 34k you really can buy a lot of metal these days (e93 m3, 987.2 boxster, Z4 3.5is, 997 911, s5 etc.).

That is approx 17 k and top price here
So compared to 34euro its a fair price so could be ok with some care and attention

I do not think anyone at least in 2015-2020 will be able to sell this car for 34k EUR. The one that is on mobile.de is there for ages.
Z4M which is facelift and as well have some rarity, can be had low miles for ca. 30k.

RHD is unfortunately too much for me, especially with a car that you use to overtake quite often Wink

Saw the photos?

anyway, if you say that Alpina service booklet (and not BMW) should be there, for me it is a big watch out..

that also means that BMW authorized dealer may be cheating, especially that BMW service book does not have vehicle identification written at the first page.. Sad

or maybe I am too picky?

It could a duplicate service book or just happened when this Alpina was sold it came with a bmw book
Looks a little tired on the pics and those wheel just don't look right
I do know one chap bought a right drive e36 b3 and had it converts to left hand drive due to the cost of cars in Europe so it is a possibility but then you are going away from originality

Least desirable of the Roadsters as it not a Lux model, it should have the Alpina service book.
Mileage seems highly suspect, I would walk away.
