Advice on buying a Alpina d3 as a co car

Hi, I currently have a co car, a vw, gti polo tfsi, that drinks oil, it has been a problem with that engine from day dot. The car can be handed back in April, or I can opt out and buy a car myself, I can then obtain the car allowance, how would I buy an Alpina? As the money is monthly, I dont want heavy finance etc where you end up paying 2 grand extra, or are tied into a 3 year contract etc, any advice please, I would keep my b3 as well. I currently do about 18k miles a year

The way to look at it is that you have to way it up as an option to a 320d.

Then it makes sense.

The Alpina will have a higher residual at the end of this allowance term and thus you can buy it off and then sell it, recovering more of you money.

If you keep the monthly payments down then you will end up having to bridge the gap at the end of the term.

Speak to Sytner first on what business options they can put your way and then speak to some specialist leasing co.car companies to compare with what they have to offer.

But given your currently in a VW Polo GTI tfsi and looking at a D3 at nearly 2.5 times the retail value, i'd expect the monthly cost to be around 3 times higher, possibly more given the lack of discounts from Alpina.

For example a 2011 plate D3 BiTurbo (E91) would have set you back around Â£677.00 pcm. A 2 year contract on a new D5 would set you back just over Â£1000 pcm (both plus VAT), and both have a mileage limit of around 10k per annum. You can get extensions to mileage but again they add big bucks to your monthly figure.
