Vehicle registration document changed to show the cars CO2 output (rather than under the default 'PLG') saving £50 on road tax each year.

Bodywork is in excellent condition. Those who have seen it in the flesh can testify its condition.

OBD security update at the end of 2012

The car runs brilliantly, smooth with bags of power. I've always allowed the car to warm up and cool down correctly as you would for any turbo charged vehicle.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the congrats post!!

Had a look @ your ad!!
What a well thought out post.......detail you have given is top draw!
From your post it is clear to see you are particular about how your car is presented!
Well done.

Puts my feeble effort to shame when I listed mine!
Mind you, I hate selling cars!

If anyone is of the mind to buy an Alpina D3 then if they see your ad they would be mad to look anywhere else.

Probably first registered on a private plate and then re-registered out of Chelmsford in Essex.

My old D3 had a private plate from new and then had mine on it straight away. When I p/x ed it, it was registered as AJ07 xxx out of Ipswich.

James

Spot on. First registered by the previous owner with a private plate then allocated the current one when the private plate was transferred at sale of the car. Not your usual FJ pre-fix normally seen on these cars 8)

Thanks MAC for the kind words. I'm very proud of my cars and try to keep them in tip top condition, even when used every day. I also like to be as honest as possible about these things and hate misleading information or wasting peoples time!

I've shifted some of the photos around as they split the kit list up a bit too much.

I'll post some more photos when I get a moment.

Thanks, I'll certainly miss this one. The longest I've kept a car so far in my relatively short car history.

Joe are you staying with Alpina after you sell or are you moving on to another marque?

Unless I'm on here showing off about my order of a brand new D5 touring after winning the lotto. Or, a D3 bi-turbo touring lux switchtronic comes up for sale within my budget.

I don't know which is more likely to happen

I'm off to look at a 5 touring tomorrow.
