Assuming it is actually Ruby Black, then this is back for sale with a few thousand extra miles and a price rise since it was advertised Sep'18.

It’s a great colour and has contrasting alpina crests in the leather seats

I thought it was a bit much: black with black wheels, shadowline, black leather & piano black trim. The red rhombs and steering wheel stitching are nice but not enough to lift it overall for me.

+1

I had a Ruby black E93 335i, looked stunning in the sun when clean and detailed, needs a light interior to compliment it (mine had Oyster)

Never actually seen Ruby Black in the flesh. I hope it's not as disappointing as Tanzanite Blue which in ideal situations looks great but in daily life is best described as Doom Blue.

In the UK it’s another black in reality. It’s only when the sun is out and the car is clean that the colour really shows.
Same applies to Sapphire, Citrine, Carbon & Azurite blacks I guess. I did like Ruby a lot though, tricky to photograph, here’s one courtesy of google.

Do we have any info on #67, why the mileage is low, previous owners etc. and price wise what are people’s thoughts ?
I know we have some very knowledgable individuals with there fingers on the pulse, so any info would be much appreciated !

Hi, I don't know much/specifics about this particular car, but I did follow the F10 B5 market back in 2017 and viewed 1 of them. Right now in addition to this one, there's 092 (Imperial Blue 110k miles), 078 (Alpine White 65k miles), 051 (Tasman Green 106k advertised on PH) for sale.

092 - I viewed this one almost 2 years ago (was in great condition and well looked after) and it was advertised for the same price it is now and that dealer ended up dropping it to 24k, still didn't sell and subsequently ended up being passed around traders - most recent trader had it up as high as 30k and now has it at 25k (had it since last year going by the autotrader ad link date!). As such, I think this one has ended up being the benchmark that the others seem to be priced around.
078 - already mentioned here: http://thealpinaregister.com/forums/vie ... de37543efd
051 - was on eBay at the same time as 092 in 2017 with similar/slightly lower mileage but was further for me to view and was priced slightly lower at the time - maybe 23k?. https://pistonheads.com/classifieds/use ... ed/9906196

Whilst an M5 and B5 target different buyers, are different animals and the B5 is rarer, a similar age/mileage M5 is currently c.5-10k cheaper - back in 2017 the premium for the Alpina was significantly smaller. Whether that's justified or not, only market forces can decide!

Too long; didn't read - prices are all over the shop and is based on traders passing cars around themselves with varying markups trotting out the 'It's rare' line and not actually ending up in the hands of private users. To be fair to Sytner, they obviously recognise when no one is biting given the price drops since this thread was started. Hope that helps!

I’d agree that’s a pretty accurate synopsis of the current market for F10 B5’s. Should be a buyers market given the apparent lack of demand and relatively wide choice.

#051 always gets my attention: unusual colour, nice spec and an aristocratic history 🧐
