F30 B3 biturbo 352 - for sale

Post by markxwilson » Wed Aug 23, 2023 12:24 pm

Hey guys,

Now selling my 2016 B3, having discussed over the last month on here. Had it 3yrs, adore it but life is short, got to keep working down the wanted list.

It’s (I believe) the only facelift / LCI f30 non-s B3 in UK. Main diff being the bigger satnav and nicer lights. Xirallic Imperial Blue, which is almost black but with electric blue highlights in the sun, oyster Dakota leather with Alpina roundels.

Most important - it has the rare limited slip diff option. Also has Alpina steering wheel, H/K sound, piano black trim, PDC, Bluetooth.

FBMWSH, major service just done including spark plugs, filters, oil, brake fluid and a fresh MOT, also has nearly new PS4S all round. So good to go for next couple of years. Also still under extendable and transferable BMW warranty.

Hasn’t needed much under warranty. A few sensors. Very minor wastegate linkage play meant they replaced both turbos under warranty last year. Overkill but I’m not complaining. Odo at 69k, first owner did big miles, pretty regular few thousand a year since.

Price - £33k. Priced to sell as discussed, about halfway between dealer retail and best trade in offer. I think conditon, spec and warranty make it a pretty compelling buy.

Looking for interest within owners group first, will post wider ads later this week.

Best
Mark

Lovely looking car. What mileage is it?

Price - I'd say more research is needed on the seller side to then come up with a starting point - people can then offer feedback either way.

66K miles according to the advert.

One could look at what M3 saloons are priced at for similar year and milage, then add on an Alpina premium (anyone's guess).

Do you pay monthly towards the warranty or was if a one off payment for a year? Either way, what adoes the warranty cost?

Warranty has been £875 every year. Transferable and can keep extending it to 10y or 100k. Pretty good value. I guess it’s not M so doesn’t need the big premium for fragile M engines 😀.

And that’s the comprehensive warranty. Powertrain only is cheaper and names components cheaper still.

that's roughly what an M-Car warranty would be from Bmw, regular 340i etc is £475 p/a I believe.

Really? Wow, when I had a CSL it was something like 1400 and that’s nearly a decade ago.

BMW website quotes £1980 for a 2016 M3 on 56k miles and £715 for a 340i. For the driveline only warranty the latter drops to £520.

Only other one I could see sold was a white one at 35K ish miles on Collecting Cars, £30k or so sold price. That was two years ago and I know things have got a bit mad since. But, have had an eye out for one of these ever since seeing the Chris Harris video in Wales, and this is the first. So maybe it's for the seller to dictate. Either way would be good to see the ad updated with the asking for those of us not on FB. GLWTS.

Thanks and apologies for delay - on holiday. It is indeed £33k. That’s halfway between what I think main dealer retail would likely be and best trade in deals. That collecting cars one seems to have been an outlier. Maybe people didn’t like the spec/paint?
