8)

Sadly I'm not in the market for any Alpina at the moment, so no chance of me having a punt. To be fair I'm not a fan of the colour either, although I know plenty of people are.

I do hope it goes well for you though, it's a nice looking car and a B3S is certainly something special.

My humble opinion (and I really hope you sell it for as much money as possible)

Big Petrol engine = 23MPG = Big Money = Big Insurance = No one want them (limited market)

Personal I love big engines all my cars are over 3000cc

Bought my B3S last year paid £12K was Mint accept one small parking dink and very light chipping on front - had 40K and FSH.

I think allowing approx £800 per 10K miles that put your car at around £7K tops. If I were to sell mine today I would accept £8.5K ( it has 50K on the clock now)

With that level of depreciation perhaps I should wait a couple of years and buy yours for what will it be by then £1500 ?

Unfortunately buyers market out there..............when I went to Goodwood I couldn't beleive the ammount of electric cars as display - frightening stuff!

Umm the breadvan - sneaked into the pictures  - I love the looks I know its a Marmite car but IMHO its a classic in the wings.

The last main stream "drivers" car BMW made as demo'd here....shame in a way BMW churn out so many M cars nowadays.....limited editions of 500 cars! .......thats what attracted me to Alpinas - rare sights

I agree, IMO it's well on the way to bona-fide classic status already and a good one is certainly a keeper.

It's certainly a bad market at the moment for anything thirsty which is too new to be a classic but old enough to need money spending on it - just saw a tidy B10 V8 1998 140k miles with a new MoT and comprehensive service history go for four grand in an auction from a dealer on eBay.
