My Mum asked me if I could take her to visit some family friends in Peterborough. As they’re Man City supporters even though I’m not, but I still said yes. Decided to take the B10.

On the M11 Northbound past the M25, spotted a BMW convertible behind me with some white lettering on the front lip. Said to myself: “is that an ALPINA?” Therefore pulled into lane 2 for the owner to overtake, and it was an ALPINA. The owner allowed me to overtake I then gave them the thumbs up. My Mum said: “Why did you put your thumb out to him?” My reply: "it’s another ALPINA". Mum’s response was “oh I see  " LOL.

When we both got to Bishop Stortford I pulled into the services for some octane 99, and the B3s went onto the A120

Hi Neal,

That was I (plus my daughter doing her Kim Kardashian impression) - we were late for collecting my wife from Stansted.

I'd come down and overnight-ed in Southend and had spotted you as I got on the M11 - that black 440 coupe was in the way most of the time though - so I struggled to get up to you!

Not had a bad couple of weeks for long distance jaunts after a quiet Winter - dropped her at Stansted last weekend in the B5s last week after the CPC meet.

I thought that you'd recognised me - YOU must have been going too fast, lol!!

I got my daughter to take some shots of you and will post them once I work out how to do it!!

Not bad - been driving Alpina's since 2007 - and that was the first time we've been spotted!

Wow Alex.

You may have mentioned that you had a convertible at the Ace Café meet last year, but I forgotten. I however mentioned to my Mum that I think I know who that is, but a doubt was in my mind

When I first spotted you in my rear view mirror, I said to myself that's a quick Bimmer and if it wasn't for the front lip lettering I wouldn't have known it was an ALPINA, until you started to overtake (and then I will have spotted the wheels).

Your car looked and sounded great, and when you pulled away it was extremely quick. I put my foot down but as I didn't change cogs and stayed in 5th, I said to myself, if I had dropped it to 3rd it would have been interesting to know how much quicker your car is - as it just flew and left a massive gap, and obviously we both didn't go above 70mph.

Never notice your daughter doing her Kim Kardashian impression  However looking forward to the photos
