Post by rc944 » Sun Jul 09, 2023 11:21 pm

who is using what and do you recommend it?
ive just finished some bilt hamber auto wash and didnt like it. i prefer mine to sud up more and i think their dilution ratio is rather ambitious
have used chemical guys citrus wash/gloss in the past but i need something for more general use that wont strip off sealant etc

I’ve used Gyeon Bathe + for years as I think it leaves some sort of layer behind which makes the car easier to dry.

I'm a fan of Finish Kare #1016 which cleans well and provides a wax finish that comes up lovely and bright

You don't say what colours your vehicles are.

However, to clearly see every stone chip, paint swirl, dried raindrop, tap watermark, splattered insect, speck of something squeezed out of a soft furry animal and tar spots I can heartily recommend..... Sophisto Grey.

Autoglym Snow foam followed by Halfords own brand Car Wash & Wax with a mitt does a Stirling job. Cheap as chips and won a few recommendations.

I’m perhaps a bit old school and use Meguiars Gold Class.

I’m a little stuck for a wash mitt choice after Dodo Juice stopped making the Tribble mitt though.

I too like a good lather on my handwashing shampoo and found there was something unsatisfying about Bilt Hamber Auto Foam, even though it is probably a really good cleaner. I use Auto Finesse Lather shampoo.
