Wheel cleaning
Wheel cleaning
A quick request for tips.
The front rims are getting pitted with brake dust. Stubborn spots which despite using the usual wheel cleaning products from the likes of Halfords eg Carplan, McGuiars (or however you spell them), etc just will not budge.
Recommendations please.

Bilt Hamber is the best product i have used so far. Follow it up by sealing wheels with Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour.D3orbust wrote:Try Bilt Hamber Autowheel, I've been using it for 5-6 years and no complaints so far.

Just had my wheels Ceramic Waxed using Gynol from my detailer.
They've found the lacquer on them isn't that great and certainly not hard like the lacquer on the paintwork, hence the ceramic wax treatment. But mine could be just a one off set

Nothing to see here.... move along in an orderly fashion please!

you will find it hard to remove some of the dust deposits no matter how hard you try if you use conventional detailing products... i know bilberry standalone will not shift it. the more acidic ones will be its a trade off between preserving the integrity of the lacquer vs getting them clean...
i did the whole lot when i got mine back from lepsons about 3 years back... cleaned, polished and sealed with gyeon rim q2
despite regular cleaning with bilberry and ez brush etc today the fronts are showing dust deposits where the vanes meet the outer dish
