Hey all,

Anyone on here that has bought a ticket and is in the Alpina display area. I'll be starting to make arrangements in the next week or so. I've got a sort of plan on how to lay the cars out I just need to check with the organizers. Updates will be posted via the display cars Messenger and on here.

Hope everyone has any jobs done and keeping fingers crossed for a nice day, last year was dry but a bit chilly at times.

Hi all,

For anyone not picking up the FB posts or Messenger, see some details below for the 30th.

Organizers have said all cars must be in and parked by 09:45 ready for public at 10am. I will be on site from 7am looking out for you all, so watch for the bald guy with a limp trying to get your attention.
Below is a map of the venue and where you need to head plus a draft idea for the layout of cars. I'm thinking as we have an almost even split of D cars and B cars we could do D one side and B the other with a feature car in the middle (the B3 GT3).

Mark thanks for sorting me out as a replacement for chap who sold his car. I shall be there early as staying 30 minutes away. could you PM me your phone number in case of any "entry" problems. I will be in the B7 and understand there will be 2 x B7 so thats a first for me at any show I have done in 12 years of ownership.

Morning All,

I really don't think I need to mention this to a group of responsible Alpina owners, but as a matter of course and to cover all bases please read below.

There will be an increased Police presence at the event on the 30th, mainly at the exit in the afternoon but I would also assume in the morning as well. This is all due to recent driving standards and people leaving the recent "Tucked" show. Look up the video if your not sure what happened.

As a result of this car shows and car events have been facing resistance from venues, I attended Petrolheadonism Underground last weekend and the organizer was saying they only got sign off for the event the Thursday evening before the weekend.

We all know its a very small % of numptys that end up spoiling things for the rest of us but lets all show how it can and should be done.

Cheers all, Mark.

Mark,

I wasn’t at the event, but think I saw you afterwards as you were about to join the M40? Hope you had a good one.

There are oodles of photos on Bimmerpost.com including a whole section just of Alpina - I can’t find a link to attach but they are easy to find from the website.

Hi I'm sorry you missed out, the event was mainly posted on FB as that's the platform the organizers were using to promote the event and take chats and questions. I did post on the Forum on the 10th Jan to see if anyone who maybe is not on the forum would like to join us as well.

There is the Ultimate BMW Mega Meet, which is on FB again and here in the Forum which is at Mallory Park. Or of course Gaydon next year again.

Cheers Mark.

Car quality - good
Music - if you like rap, expletives and being deafened - great
M Car - loud banging and over run poppin - again very noisy

Arrived 0700 hrs, no ticket checked waved through. Found others parked in our designated area, finally cleared by "organiser". Few idiots reprimanded by organiser for speeding, sitting on boot lid, excessive braking and some minor wheel spinning. They were in the minority.

20 ALPINA including 3 x B7 #106,#37 and #167 quite rare 37 and 167 Japanese imports 167 is LWB. #37 currently for sale.

Will try mallory Park, but if same nonsense will give it a miss in future.
