Caffeine and Machine - Stratford on Avon

A friend of mine has been going to this place that has sprung up in Warwickshire and said it was great. Coffee/bar/restaurant with lots of car based memorabilia and a big car park. Looks like a local version of Ace Cafe. Anyone interested in an Alpina meet in the Summer here? Could be in addition to the meets at the Falcon in Hatton.

Been there a few times, it does make a good meeting place. It can get busy at the weekends mind.

When we know the date of the Sytner Nottingham meet which will be a Sunday in April 19 ( so I am told) , perhaps the Saturday would be good. Those coming from the south have plenty of choice of accommodation nearby and then an not too distance travel to Nottingham or go and stay near Nottingham after the Sat event? Just an idea, make a weekend if it.

If enough interested then might ask the venue to provide adequate space?

Sounds like a plan

There will not be a Sytner Nottingham meet in 2019, therefore perhaps this is a separate venue. However, will they ask for Public Liability Insurance as lots of places do now for group meets.

I have contacted this venue, they only have space for 25 vehicles at the front of the building, there is room for more at the rear in a field, but this is weather dependant as to availability.

The venue may be able for a Sat or Sun subject to date in their calendar.

However note * if you elect to park at the front, you must be there by 0900 hrs and cannot under any circumstances move until 1700 hrs.

Gary Lott has told me he will go to this venue to assess suitability.

Thank you for following up Norrie. All sorts of factors to take in to consideration that I hadn't thought of.

No problem, I like to do due diligence rather than just to turn up at any place. That way I am not disappointed when it does not meet my requirements. However, some people think that this is just being over the top and unnecessary?

I went to a MINI meet up here not long ago in my mates JCW and they filled the car parks and field. Was a damp(ish) cold morning and the field was fine to park on. May be worth asking them if anyone knows the MINI UK Club admin?

The venue was perfect and food and refreshments served were fantastic. I would definitely say this would be a good shout for a venue. Will be going into Sytner soon so will try catch up with Gary.

Thanks for the update, I have not seen of spoken to Gary Lott for about a year. I do not go to Nottingham for a car service as have it done locally. I suspect Gary simply has not had time, since Jonathan Noy left and as I understand it has yet to be replaced.

I think most people have given up on a Sytner organised meet for 2019. The gathering of ALPINA cars at the Silverstone Classic has had limited response, but due to the fact the organiser Goose cannot extrapolate ALPINA data from BMW cars we do not have a specific number of ALPINA attendees.

However, if someone is organising this, then great.
