Just had the B10 touring out for a short spin having not used it for a while and appears I’ve a sticking NSF caliper. Wheel obviously hot when I got back. Left it to cool and jacked wheel off ground and it’s tightish to spin.
Question is - looking on eBay for one and motor factors is the E39 540i the same fitment ? Or is there a different fitment?
Also guess it may be worth replacing the pair.

Re: Replacement front calliper
I refurbed the calipers on my B3 3.3 back in 2012/13. If you are handy with the spanners it's a very rewarding job. This was the state of the piston in the caliper which causing me the same issue as yours.
And the new ones that went in, which came from Brakes International
If you do go down the route of replacement I would recommend doing them in pairs. I say this as my current Alpina has had a replacement caliper prior to my ownership (front left) and now it no longer matches the others such that even the spanner size for the bleed screw is different.

Re: Replacement front calliper
Guess the piston will be grubby/rusty. Might strip it once off and have a look.
I’ve got a single one for now, but think I’ll get another matching one in store ready.
