D3 2009 Alloy centre cap badges
D3 2009 Alloy centre cap badges
Hi Guys,
I'm planning to order new centre cap alpina badges from Pukar Designs.
Can anyone guide me on how to replace badges? Do I need to undo the bolt on the back and remove the spring?
Appreciate the help
Thanks
rav

They just unbolt (old one will be rusty) and bolt new assembly on.
I got mine at https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-GENUINE- ... SwPBFa1Mbu

How much are they? I bought 4 new from BMW. They got £89 I think for 4 and they come with new springs and nyloc nuts. I was happy with that

If your just replacing the badge which has the Shock Absorber emblem rather than the whole centre cap, on my 2006 D3 i used a plastic knife to level the old sticky badge off, cleaned up any sticky residue with white spirit and then stuck the Pukar badges on. Had them on for 7 years without issue, great quality.

was tempted by the full replacements here: https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/optio ... aps_alpina
But as im soon selling the D3 I dont want to plough cash into it.

The prices for those caps don't seem too dissimilar to what I paid a couple of years ago direct from a BMW main dealer. I paid less than £90.
That said even when I gave them the part number they still picked the wrong one off the shelf !

Hmmm., really helpful.
I would like x4 emblems for my centre caps. Having touched base with sales@alloywheelsdirect.com, the following applies:
Emblem/mounting: 3613135
Cost: £90.00 + Courier.
