New here

Post by Ian Hosk » Wed Sep 04, 2019 11:14 pm

Hi all

New here but not new to Alpina. Ive owned my D3 Touring since new in 2014. Ive had lots of cars over the years and was a development driver for Honda in the 90s and early 00's working with NSX, S2000 & the first Civic Type R so driven plenty on the limit.

I am now a full time wheelchair user after breaking my neck in 2004 so drive with hand controls.

I have to say my D3 is one of the best cars I've ever owned and driven.

Ive just sold a Renault Clio V6 after owing it for 15 years and am now liking the idea of an E30 Alpina or 325i sport if I can find an auto (if there is such a thing)

Cheers

Welcome.

Can't imagine there a many Alpina's with hand-controls fitted.

There were definitely auto versions of E30 Alpinas (C1, C2, B3, B6 2.7) and 325i Sports, so you could find one if you search. Not aware of any auto Alpinas currently for sale though.

Thanks for the info on the E30s, I'll kept a look out for one.

Yes my car can still be driven normally but it also has a push pull lever for brake & throttle (pull up for throttle - push down for brake) I had the handle covered in black leather with Alpina Blue & green stitching to finish it off!

Welcome Ian - love the idea of Alpina-ising the hand controls!

Best of luck in your search - hope it's fruitful.
