Happy New Year Everyone
Got a quick query which I hope one of you can answer. l have been told that Sytner build numbers for UK converted cars were made up as follows, first 4 numbers refer to the month and year then the next 3 numbers the production order.
Can anyone advise if this is correct.
Cheers,
Dean

Some of them are alpha-numeric too, from what I've seen.

Thanks Guys,
Actually thinking about it I have seen some alpha numeric build codes as well.
Oh well the mystery continues

I've tried to figure out their system but to no avail. I'm more interested in their older cars admittadley

Yes - sadly there is no standardised format - this has been confirmed several times.
If in any doubt about a cars providence you can check with Sytner directly.

I did get to speak with Johnathan Noy when he was at Sytner about my car but unfortunately Sytner Nottingham record keeping was not great so he was unable to confirm anything other than mine was one of the first built which is backed up by the fact that it was noted on the build sheet as an FGS (Frank Gordon Sytner) Demo car built by Keith Borrington & featured in Autocar in Sept 92.

Looking at the archive and register there appears that the b2.5 did have a systematic numbering system but I can’t work it out precisely but there is reason to it
