B10 3.3 no218 newbie to the forum
Hi all newbie here so I thought I'd introduce myself and my car.
I've just become the proud owner of a very clean b10 3.3 in Lemans blue.
I've looked online to find out how many were made in 2002 in Lemans blue which were Switchtronic and I just can't seem to find any info. Would any of you guys know by any chance? Also are there any meets in the southeast over the summer?

Hi and welcome. You can find stats here http://www.thealpinaregister.com/uk but it won't tell you colour or gearbox. Hth

Thanks Barry I certainly will. Although I took out insurance on it today without using my bonus as I'm still using that on my other car. 3k miles a year and they stung me for £700. The joys hey hahaBarryM wrote:Congrats and welcome, sure you'll enjoy it 👍

Welcome. A great looking car in a really nice colour.
A bit late for you but I covered my B10 this year under an agreed value classic insurance policy through a company called Hagerty. Approx £270 for 3000 miles, although I am 59 years old. The good news is they do not use a no claims bonus system so I was able to use my full no claims bonus on my daily driver.
Perhaps this might be of use for you next year? More details are on the insurance forum.
Enjoy your car.

Talking of insurance, My 06 B5 is still not widely considered "classic" yet. Footman James covered it last year but were unwilling to give it any agreed value, that was still the case on renewal this month. They also wanted (in my view) a hefty £450 for 5000 miles.
I checked out lots of firms but none of them would do an agreed value yet because of its age. They all had right of salvage but when it came down to comparing coverage Tesco's bank was by far the cheapest. It has everything that Footman James had to offer apart from the "name"
The worst case scenario is I would have to argue the toss with Tescos loss adjuster as opposed to FJ who it must be said just used, "well of course you get what you pay for" arguments. Well in reality they weren't giving anything that Tesco's wasn't. Its made me re-think the Specialist insurance market, they are it seems just loading you and trading on non existent promises of expertise and cover.
Great colour BTW and welcome to the forum…
