Trans failsafe Prog

Post by woolley11 » Thu Mar 28, 2024 10:10 am

The B10 came up with Trans Failsafe Prog so limped home, this could be expensive :(

by “BarryM” on the “What did you do to your Alpina today”.

Mine came up with this message a few days ago. Basically I was running late, jumped in the B10, started it and selected reverse all very quickly. Up came the message and it was indeed driving “limply”.

I was only a short drive away to where I was heading so actually in a speed limit of 40 most the way. When it restarted it had reset itself. I’ve done a few miles since without reoccurrence.

Just hope it was a one off.

A relatively cheap fix for me, it might be worth checking for any error codes for your gearbox if you have INPA: https://thealpinaregister.com/forums/vi ... start=2070
