B3 Biturbo Cabriolet (E93) Wheel Alignment Figures

Post by TonyS » Sun Sep 17, 2023 1:17 am

Took the car in for alignment and had a long 'discussion' about what figures to use - they insisted it was 335i settings selected via my BMW VIN, but the software said it was E92 from '06 to '13 !!!
I also know from the official Alpina E93 pre-LCI (my car) parts list the suspension components are slightly different to 335i, so surely the figures would be different too ?

Does anyone know the official figures ?

X1 2.0 Twin-Scroll Turbo xDrive #zillion (F48) ... really useful, if only an XB1 existed !

--- but when you are up to your ears in alligators it can be relatively difficult to remember that your original idea was to drain the swamp --- hmmm

A decent alignment specialist will have the figures uploaded in their machine's database. E.g. I took mine to Blackboots / Wheels in motion based in Chesham Bucks'. They looked up my car in the Hunter machines database - the figures were the same as the Alpina handbook. Have you looked in the Alpina handbook?

Thanks for the responses !
I shall now re-address this issue with Sytner, Stevenage who insisted it was the same settings as an E92 335i of the period despite my saying I didn't believe it was.
...my confidence in them is waning fast :(
