You are more that welcome  I only discovered that recently when I got mine ... makes sense when you think of it as facelift 530d was upped in power, so should the Alpina version. The torque increase is more important, it goes from loads to shit loads ... :D

What’s your fuel economy like? Do you have a manual of Switch-tronic? As it is a diesel and a big car, is it a joy to drive and do you feel any turbo lag? Also how does it compare to your B8?

I am oicking the car up at the end of the month, from memory fuel economy is very good, 40s and above, I have the manual, and would not consider switch-tronic in the diesel (and I'm not sure I'm the only one, manuals rarely come up for sale!).

Tell you what, why don't you come over and try them both out ... the D10 is a real racing car revs up to over 5000rpm!

Lucky man! We drove (B6 Touring) down to Pau four years ago on holiday and came back via Biarritz and Sarlat. Lovely part of the world. 8)

Found what I think might be a nice car :) .

What are the scheduled service intervals for a B10 V8? It has 43k miles and is almost 8 years old, yet appears to only have had 4 services?

The VIN is WAPBA46L10HF40802 - can I speak to any BMW dealer to confirm the history?

The Maserati is up for sale at any rate

Hi Stats ;)
If it's on the service indicator this wouldn't be an issue.
You should pop your maser in the for sale section on the maser forum too, there is a chap on there looking for a nero 4200 i think.

Blimey, a post by stats007 followed by one from chad5ki. Am I in the right place or is the Maserati forum :D

The service intervals vary dependant on your style of driving and 11,000 miles per service is reasonable. When I bought my B10 a year ago it was serviced and now a year and 7,500 miles later it still has two lights left to go

Hi chaps!

Getting used to yearly service intervals! The Mercs had an ASSYST system which I suppose is similar to the BMW INSP system whereby the car tells you when it wants servicing. Looks like it was all done to schedule.

Anyway going to pass on this one. The auction price went too high and the colour wasn't exactly what I was after.

Stats,
The service interval should fall between 12-15k miles. Actually that depends how you drive the car. If you do a lot of high speed short distance travel, then it will fall sort of this. Anyway you can have one service indicator light off between 2-3k for E39 B10.
