I experienced over the last year an increasing consumption of my B3S (now 86,000 kms). When new, the oil consumption was marginal (1l/9000 kms). It increased progressively up to 1l/ 2000 kms . I have always followed the recommendations of Alpina, i.e. Castrol SLX 0w-30. I have recently changed the o...

Mike,

It' s a very nice color , and indeed the pictures are very nice as well.
I have a question: why do you have the old wheels, whereas your b3s is face lifted already (2003). Mine is a 2002 model, with the new wheels .

Neil, many thanks , it's the best analysis I have seen so far. Although it will be very difficult for me to separate from the only Alpina I ever bought new, the only one which took us to Italy with the family... unbelievable how we can become emotive when it comes to our own cars!

Difficult choice : B3/B7/B10

Dear Alpina community members, I face a difficult choice, and would very much appreciate opinion/comments from this community. As some of you know, I have been driving a B3S from almost 4 years, as my daily car. In 2004, I bought a B7 turbo coupé, as a collection car. More recently , the collection...

I did receive the info above from K.Odwarka. (this was my post on M5board but I'm happy ot post here as well). My guess, as to the engine's choice (between V8, 6 turbo and 6 compressor), is that they will use again an ASA compressor, this time on a 6 cylinders. I understand that Alpina has bought so...

B3s exhaust

since a while, I can hear a small vibration coming from my exhaust, only at full throttle and around 3500-4000 rpm. Does anyone of this forum have the same symptom? What can it be ? Thanks.

My B3s passed the test on the bench, and delivered 322 bhp and 398 Nm. I know another B3S in Germany who delivered 324 bhp. I chronometred the standing km between two kmstones in 25,3 sec (mean of two times). I have a switch tronic. I test drove a B3 3.3 almost 4 years ago. While I was very impresse...

Your feedback about old V8 vantage

Hi, Some of you may know me and my alpinas, as I'm active on other forums. My cars have been in Neil's register for a while. Sadly I could not make it in Donnington, while I had considered the possibility . Maybe next time . I have a quiet urgent request, especially for UK fans of the old Aston V8 v...
