Ride height remained the same and handling didn't seem much different to be honest. Bilstein themselves recommended the kit to me and I've been happy with them.

A forced regen is done by way of plugging in to the OBD port which is probably the £45 fee. A clean of the DPF involves taking it off the car and cleaning which is a lot more labour intensive and hence more expensive. BMW dealers will go straight to the - "computer says you need to replace the DPF ".

I think you get the deal if you buy from an Michelin authorised tyre dealer.

Even with the offer though, last time I checked though it was still cheaper to buy from tyreleader.co.uk

If its the symbol like the one at post 9 then its the pollen filter that needs changing: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=738839 I just changed mine for one of these on the weekend: https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/BMW_3+Series_2.0_2005/p/car-parts/filters/engine-parts/pollen-filter/...

Out of the 2 the blue one looks more prestigious in colour in my opinion.

Also I have no experience of BMW warranty but do from an independent garage and it was a pain to deal with.

Looks great and what an awesome car ! What products were used?

I need to find time to break my machine polisher out. Managed a detail and seal on the summer wheels before they went back on last week.

Which model car is it? If its a pic of a filter with a fan it is likely to be the pollen filter. On the D3 this is in the engine bay buy the windscreen - a few screws and an easy DIY change, I've just picked up a Mann filter for mine https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mann-FP8430-Frecious-Plus-Cabin-Pollen-...

Should be getting mine on this weekend after cleaning and sealing up 100 odd spokes on the 19"s.

Its like getting a new car when you put the summer wheels back on in the first week!

Some of the BMW forums suggest that by the time you have just replaced the bush you may as well just change the arm as well?

But like you also say the replacement reviews are not as good as factory originals.

D3 MT - Rear Upper Track Control Arm

On a recent alignment check of the car the wheel centre stated the rear upper track control arm bush has failed. Reading up it seems to be the case to replace the whole arm. Lemforder seems to be a brand that crops up on various search engines - will they be ok or does anyone ghave any other recomme...

The Michelin Supersports that I have on my D3 are probably the best tyres I have ever had on the car. On previous cars I have had Contis and Goodyears, and these are worlds apart for grip and the wear rate is awesome. I must be on 35000 miles now with a fair bit of tread still left. We've got P Zero...

Forecast for the rest of the month is still fairly cold - max 10, mins of 1 degree.
Over the next few days the max of 10 degrees is only for a couple of hours during mid afternoon.

I'm going to wait till next month.

Did you get any deals on the PS4s?
