Garage refit

Some of our friends have decided to have a new kitchen fitted to they asked if we wanted their old units on condition that I de-installed them without destroying their kitchen. Some years ago I had made a bench but I wanted a modelled garage with some decent units - it is never going to be one of th...

They look like standard BMW part numbers so it might be worth looking out for specialist BMW wreckers or, depending on price, buying a complete car from copart.com? Is this any good? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Upgrade-for-BMW-F01-F02-Front-Left-Door-Panel-Inner-Inside-repair-Pull-Handle/322711449594?f...

Those of you who went to Buchloe in 2007 and remember my Dad

Sadly, Dad passed away at the beginning of February and we sent him on his final journey yesterday. While he liked Alpinas his passion was the Lotus Carlton and other big Vauxhalls and a few AutobahnStormers club members honoured him by bringing their cars along... http://www.ecfrs.co.uk/_dad/IMG_13...

If it has a plaque, it should be on the wood trim in front of the passenger's seat on the dashboard. As someone else has said, the Alpina VIN number (and the one on the V5) should be stamped on the driver's suspension turret under the bonnet and will start WAPB333...... and finish with 078. The orig...

If it's been left outside without sufficiently concentrated anti freeze/water then there is a chance the coolant system has frozen and cracked the block or head?

US cars are made by Buchloe but for whatever reason are not given Alpina VIN numbers but sit in a specific BMW VIN range specified for the B7 for BMW North America. If you look on eBay.com, cars.com or auto trader.com, you can find Alpinas for sale by in the USA they list the VIn in the advert. Bein...

Don't forget that the F01 and F02 was sold in the US and a total of 1,770 cars were sold there plus 803 E65s. Equally the engine in the E65, as you know was used in the E60/61/63/64 and the engine in the F01/02 was used in the F06/10/11/12/13 and I would think that much of the R&D would have been on...

Exclusitivity aside, I guess the major difference in the UK could potentially be the lack of x-drive on the B7.

I've been working on a 760 register of some form and so far there are at least 141 UK-specification M760Li's vs one G12 B7 BT.

The M760Li is a hefty £135k list before options but they free fall in value with the lowest price car I have seen so far at £86k for a '66' plate with 6,500 miles on it.
