I'm picking up a theme here   You guys are pretty much confirming my thoughts although I would like to put the bits on (minus the badges), I'll see how the funds go. The thing is, I could probably financially stretch to one of the two 5.7s for sale but I need a newer car for work (company ...

To badge or not to badge

I am toying with the idea of B12'ing my 750. As you have all probably gathered, I rather hanker for a B12 6.0 but can't justify the extra £££'s so I was considering adding the 20's, front valance, rear bumper and 4 exit exhaust. I don't suppose anybody would mind about that but they say imitation...

My 750 is doing over 23mpg so far but a £74 fill up from just under a 1/4 tank was a surprise the other day.

Well the B12 didn't happen, just couldn't justify over £25k for a 6 year old E38. I went for a 1999 750iL today. I know it's not an Alpina but it has all the right toys: Titan Silver Black Buffalo leather Usual 750iL bits plus Privacy glass Auto boot lid DSP Hi Fi Dechrome M-Parallels and M-Tec ste...

Small possibility but I have my eye on a B12. Just trying to convince Andrea it's a good idea. I have a real soft spot for the E38 7 series so if the B12 doesn't come off it will probably end up being a 750iL. I will keep you posted. If I end up going for a B10, it will be a V8 as I want an auto. I ...

I'm a bit perplexed??

I have been looking through the register for the E39 B10's and I'm a bit baffled by a couple of things:

The build numbers don't seem to run chronological order, why?

Are the Tourings in the same block of build numbers allocated to saloons?

What is the story with numbers over 1000?

No space for the B12 although it would fit if the garage wasn't full of other stuff. B12 would be an everyday runner for me but it's not likely to happen sadly. Sleepless nights aren't too sleepless thankfully. Essex meet is on tonight if you want to pop down, you're always welcome even though you h...

The owner dropped me a line with the price, I was vaguely interested (SWMBO doesn't likes BMW's!!) but it's a serious way out of my league at £37k!!

I have seen a few on my travels:

B12 5.7 in Blue (R-reg) on the M25 near J5

B12 6.0 L in metallic light green (V-reg) on the M25 at J16
