Was just in for my twice annual review of all things Alpina…
This was many moons ago my car (probably 10 years ago!) - sad to see it like this, yes it was a special interior - wouldn't call it 'wild' thou...

I also have an Audi A1 with that same 1.4TSI engine (although not with 2 cylinder deactivation, but does do stop/start) - I have it with the stronic 7 speed auto. It's a nice car to drive and the engine is perky, reponsive and reasonably rapid - and returns ~45mpg in mixed driving - sounds good too.

I ended up by non star marked tyres - they were fine, I couldn't tell any difference at all - They were still PS2 (allthough for total assurance you could check with Michalin)

Can only agree! My old car that was subject to a spotted post is still advertised @ £11,995 that's for No 1157 (2001 with 87k) I tried to sell it privately over a year ago for £11k and didn't get even a sniff. I got rid of it through my finance company to BCA where this guy I guess picked it up - ...

The heating switches are on the side of the seats themselves, not on the centre console next to the DSC switch. They also have cooling fans built in. The one thing they don't have is the memory function which is only a nuisance if more than one person drivers the car regularly. Some pictures... htt...

Ah my old car - I disposed of this through my finance company a good couple of months ago - basically they lost all the money on the deal, it was a shame to get rid but economics and all that. It is a very nice car and in pretty good nick but it had been standing a few months before BCA picked it up...
