You were right about the gearbox - hope it's okay now.

The car's looking great!

Best wishes

B12 Blue Dials

Hi Drew

You came close to having Richard's blue dial set in your B12.

Unfortunately, I decided that the four figure sum he was looking for was too steep, but did think hard about it.

You'll just have to keep it under 155!

Best wishes

B12 Washers

Hi Drew Please don't publish too many pics, the tears are ruining my keyboard! I did have a very exciting incident with the screen wash on the car. Luckily just north of Sytner Leicester in filthy weather on the M1 the headlight wash suddenly decided to eject the whole washer system fluid at high pr...

The B12 is certainly smooth and comfortable, but actually hides its true performance. it doesn't appear to be an earth-shaker, partly because of the quiet way it goes about its business (the double glazing helps), partly because it starts in 2nd gear unless you select Manual 1st, and partly because ...

B12

My previous posts show how painful it has been to part with such an amazing car after nearly 14 years, but I'm sure that you are exactly the new owner I've been looking for, Drew, and will improve and look after the car. Still suffering with withdrawal symptoms - it's well over 25 years with at leas...

Beautiful car, ruined by hideous colours, inside and out.

Probably too embarrassed to take it out of the garage, so just rotates it occasionally.

B12

It's a lot of money, but small change to some collectors, and reflects to some extent the growing interest in this rare and great model. The best E30 M3s, 190SLs and UR Quattros are heading for 3 figures. Dinos were £50/60k ten years ago, now the best are over £200k. DB6s, air cooled 911s, NSXs - ...

B12s

You've set yourself a tough task. According to the Alpina Register in RHD there were 8 5.7l (all SWB), and 7 6.0l ( including 1 LWB, but this list doesn't include Kevin's 5.7l LWB, so may not be complete. According to Kevin only 2 or 3 are on the road (including his and mine), so finding a good runn...

The CAR!!!!

I'm emptying the kid's piggybank, sending the wife out on the streets, and wondering which bank to rob.

E32 B12

In terms of beautiful Alpinas the E32 and E38 B12s come close to the top of my list, beaten only by the Alpina 3.0 CSL in my eyes.

The green paintwork was a bit of a shock at first viewing, but the more I see it the better it gets 8)

Well done Gee for finding it!

BMW Service

I agree with Kevin (as usual). If you can build up a relationship with a good Indie as I have done you get a level of personal input that in my opinion cannot be matched at a main dealer. They get to know the cars in detail, and I trust their work implicitly. Some jobs are better carried out by the ...

The ad mentions Gaydon 2007 - this is a rare excess of B12s there in 2004, well 4 out of 5 - not sure how the silver 735i sneaked in: http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/af148/arc123uk/P1020419.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/af148/arc123uk/P1020423.jpg ........I know, Kevin, put the origina...

Great write up and congrats on the install! They must be happy to see such an enthusiastic customer. Have you had a chance to try it out in snow at all yet? I know we haven't had so much snow since then. Cheers. Snow...No chance! She doesn't even leave the garage during the winter :D ....then you'r...
