Re: B10 V8 facelift
I’ve bought sills for my B10 touring for about £130 the pair. Not sure if genuine ones are available, but big £££ if so. If you get a good body shop then they’ll do a super job including rust treatments etc. I’ve been quoted £3k to replace sills and rear arches which will include painting both sides...

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Changed inner rear light clusters on B10 Touring #047
Mine were terribly faded, crazed and cracked. Ended up with an “as new pair” on the replacement tailgate I bought for #004 - with #047 being an LCI model they were the correct ones - probably saved £80 on buying a pair plus they’re genuine BMW.

Re: Purchase of B10 3.3 Touring - No. 004
Found a complete tailgate on eBay at Charles Trent in Poole, which is apparently rot free. That’s one major piece sorted for “004” bodywork - £90 + carriage. I’ll ring them on Monday and see if there’s a front N/S wing off same car to save on carriage . Sills and wheelarch repairs on eBay so hopeful...

Re: B10 Touring failing to proceed
Well I think it’s something I’m going to have to live with and bear it in mind between fills.
Potentially not a 10 minute fix I guess.
Unless it packs in altogether and I have no gauge reading, I’ll leave it and see what develops.

ATF top up
Just checking that there’s no special ATF needed in the power steering reservoir on by 2001 B10.
My level has gone down (I know why - weeping pipe which I’ll refix at weekend.

Re: B10 Touring failing to proceed
Yes similar.
Certainly find the gauge doesn’t move much at start if over half a tank but does fall quickly after.
I’ll keep an eye on things and keep some notes.

Re: B10 Touring failing to proceed
Yes just the OBC display on the cluster.
So I guess not 100% accurate but certainly an indicative.

Re: B10 Touring failing to proceed
The “distance” in tank display tends to fall rapidly when starting off but then picks up so end up with apparently more miles in tank than you started off with. Obviously once it’s warmed up and sussed your driving style, the mpg will increase. Assume what’s physically in the tank dictates if you ru...

Re: B10 Touring failing to proceed
Well we nearly had a repeat of the fuel issue today. Not been in the Alpina for an about a week. Started ok and headed out but started been unresponsive to acceleration - got death stare from wife who was with me. There was about 20 miles on the screen but this went down rapidly and then started its...

Re: Purchase of B10 3.3 Touring - No. 004
Yea thought there’s nothing too much to worry about Alpina wise on the body parts.
Not sure if it had a bottom of tailgate bolt on piece - see pic as with #047 - whether that was an LCI upgrade.
